"One of the strongest motives that lead men to art and science is escape from everyday life with its painful crudity and hopeless dreariness, from the fetters of one's own ever-shifting desires."-Albert Einstein
"...from the fetters of one's own ever-shifting desires" he says. Some of my best moments are when I am lost in my painting and all the internal noise in my head is quiet. I have an overly analytical way of thinking about things sometimes, so getting lost in the creative process can be a form of therapy, meditation; a way to drive all the usual clutter of the conscious mind away with a kind of ritualized creative activity.
