"People sometimes ask me, 'what rituals do we have?' You've got the rituals, only you're not meditating on them. When you eat a meal, that's a ritual. Just realize what you're doing."
-Joseph Campbell, Transformations of Myth Through Time, Harper & Row, NY, 1990.
Some religions have elaborate overdone rituals, so old that most people partaking in them, don't even understand why they are doing it. Being reflective about every day actions is a way to simplify your life and set out the rituals that make your day whole. For me drawing, painting, and writing are all rituals that keep me centered and moving forward.
