Joseph Campbell is one of my biggest influences, and one of the greatest mythologists this world will ever know. His collected wisdom is a legacy that will live on for as long as his books do. I was lucky enough to find my bliss, . . . painting, drawing, creating, at a relatively young age.
"To find your own way is to follow your own bliss."
- Joseph Campbell (1904 - 1987)
So many people will tell you what is wrong or right with what you've done or are doing. While their advice might be useful sometimes, the only voice that matters is the one deep in your soul. Bring that voice out and share it with the world. Whatever makes you happy, seize it and somehow find a way to make it part of your everyday life. It's like that Rush song Limelight that goes, "for those who wish to be must put aside the alienation, and get on with the fascination". It's so true, turn off the negativity and create with your positive energy a new reality that embraces who you are, not who you work for, who your family is, or anything else. This is not being selfish, this is being a true artist, and sharing your vision with the world.
