Death is Letting Go of Deception

I was drawn to the following Zen saying because it pretty much sums up a dream experience I had once:

"Let go of the cliff, die completely, and then come back to life, after that you cannot ever be deceived."

That dream (which I don't really want to go into detail about, some dreams are personal to me) and other lucid dreams, and other experiences I have had; help lead me to the conclusion that the soul body exists separate, but attached to obviously - the physical body. A morbid perspective on the matter is the scenario of running electricity through a deceased human body. It will cause the limbs to move, but does that mean the body is alive? Of course not. There is no soul inhabiting the body. Of course though we know in cardiac arrest situations sometimes a strong shock will bring somebody back that has flat-lined for a few minutes even. Interesting.
