Artist Spotlight: Small Woodcut Prints by Ed Tajchman

Yes, today's Artist Spotlight feature is about yours truly. I've never featured my work on this blog, so this is a first. Digging through some old files of mine I found some forgotten images; photos I took of some small woodcut prints I did sometime last year. They are very small (about 2 x2 ").

I wanted to get into doing some woodcut prints so I started small, using a box of wooden blocks, and started carving into them. These are two of the prints I made using those blocks. You can see the texture of the wood come through, I love that. To keep with the tradition of the site - I'll include a quote with the work,... from the about artist section of my online gallery.

"I strive to create expressions, reflections, interpretations, and visions of the soul. to dig for that unconscious, super-conscious, instinctual, intuitive, universal, individual expression that is inside all of us."
