The Circumference of Humankind's Knowledge

I was extremely bored just now so I made a little bit of modern art to illustrate this quote from Albert Einstein. That being said, I will let the brilliant diagrams below; do the talking in today's post, (clearly we see our unknown knowledge [if that makes any sense] growing as we learn more about the universe).

"As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it."

-Albert Einstein

What I notice is that the area of the surface on that knowledge globe is getting larger. That means, to me, that the knowledge of "what I know" is expanding, but at the same time, the awareness of "what I don't know" is getting bigger, too.

"The more I know, the more I know I don't know," is the way my theology prof. put it.
