Traveling Notions Not Set in Stone

I nodded off into the ethereal, the unlimited space filled floating material, and then my body jolted awake, and me into consciousness awkwardly; with that person staring at me wide eyed and almost without soul. I felt the pull of that odd gaze even deep adrift in sleep and as if through years.  I have had many moments where my body jolted awake from my being having been thrust back into it suddenly.

The old man with long flowing white beard on the other side of the river where it falls away. The river falls gate keeper waits to receive you.

A cabin with black and white drawings on a dresser by a bed outside the kitchen near a window. A brown cabin with a river outside the window. In the river the symbols and figures in the drawings were floating in the river. And I was now floating and drowning and drifting in the river reaching to understand the drawings I was seeing swim in the water.

Maybe that is the spot in the river where the water nymphs were playing. When I overheard a phantom conversation between two beings masking themselves as my friends.
