Two Old Sketchbook Drawings

The two images below are drawings from a sketchbook of mine from about five years ago (2003). In addition to these, I still have a lot of unpublished work from a lot of different sketchbooks. I'm slowly going through and photographing the best works from these old books. The drawing below is a kind of sequel to a piece I call Third Eye. It's similar to a lot of brightly colored works of mine from this same period.

Third Eye #2 by Ed Tajchman

The next drawing below from this same old sketchbook I am calling Night Sky Blinds. It's pen and ink and was inspired by these window blinds on a large window that was right behind my bed when I lived in a creepy old house in Pittsburgh, PA.

You still have the artworks from you're 5 year old? I'm impressive :) I loves drawing, but I don't know why I stopped doing it, maybe because I don't have the talent T_T

Sorry for the confusion, the drawings are from five years ago - the year 2003. Drawing is not about skill it's about having fun,... ! thanks for reading!

These are very cool, Ed. The third Eye painting has a lot going on in it to keep the eye engaged. The shapes and overall design have a nice flow to them.

The Night Sky Blinds piece does feel a bit creepy. Looks like that hand was up in a defensive position!

I love the color and design in the first one, and the mood of the second one!
